📌 Description

A contemporary floating wall shelf combining premium Baltic birch plywood with cylindrical solid American White Oak brackets, finished with playful pale pink painted stripes.

The combination of natural timber and soft colour is a key part of the design. Pale Baltic birch plywood gives the shelf a clean, understated appearance, while the warm tones and distinctive grain of American White Oak are punctuated by alternating bands of delicate pink.

Rather than hiding the construction, the shelf celebrates it. The exposed layers of the birch plywood remain visible along the edges, which are gently softened to create a more tactile, sculptural profile.

Two solid Oak dowel brackets project from the wall beneath the shelf, giving it a distinctive peg-style construction. Each bracket features alternating sections of natural Oak and hand-painted pale pink, creating a rhythmic striped detail that brings colour and character to the otherwise minimal design.

The result is a contemporary wooden wall shelf with a playful, decorative edge — combining the warmth and honesty of natural materials with a subtle pop of colour.

Use it as a display shelf, picture ledge, bookshelf, bedside shelf, bathroom shelf or kitchen shelf for ceramics, artwork, books, plants, toiletries, spices and favourite objects.

The combination of natural plywood, warm Oak and soft pink works particularly well in Scandinavian, mid-century modern, contemporary, playful minimalist and colourful interiors.

🖐 Handmade in England

Every shelf is individually made to order in our UK workshop from premium Baltic birch plywood and carefully selected solid American White Oak.

Each Oak bracket is crafted from real hardwood, with alternating sections carefully hand-painted in pale pink to create its distinctive striped finish. The natural Oak grain, tone and figuring will vary subtly from piece to piece, while the exposed plywood layers will also have their own individual character.

Made individually, painted and finished by hand and designed to last — never mass produced.

Frequently Asked Questions

Custom and personalised orders

I do accept requests for custom sizes of the existing product lines in my shop. Of course some requests may not be possible, but please ask and where possible I'll make it happen.

Customs Duties & instances of Delays caused by customs.

Please note that import taxes and customs duties are not included in the item price. These charges are the responsibility of the customer. There are also some cases where delays happen due to customs clearance, and this is outside of our control.

Can I return a custom order?

Because custom orders are specific to your specification, I can't resell them. Therefore I will only be able to accept returns of these types of orders if the product is faulty.

Who pays for shipping when I return an item?

Buyers are responsible for return postage costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Is the initial delivery deducted from my refund if I return an item?

Yes, the amount you paid for delivery will be deducted from the refund once the item is returned

Will I have to pay import taxes if I’m in the U.S?

Not usually. Under current U.S. customs rules, imports from the UK under $800 fall within the de minimis threshold, which means no import duties, taxes, or fees are typically charged.
