📌 Description
For piano lovers — or simply lovers of beautiful things.
This bold floating picture shelf turns everyday storage into a sculptural Art Deco design statement.
The front fascia features an alternating “Kit Kat” marquetry pattern crafted from end-grain Canadian White Maple and rich Sapele Mahogany, inspired by the rhythm of piano keys. The creamy maple and warm red-toned mahogany create a striking contrast, enhanced by the distinctive cellular structure of the end grain.
A subtle bevel around the fascia adds depth and emphasises the pattern, while the Baltic birch plywood shelf top brings a soft shimmer and clean modern contrast.
The crisp linear layers of the birch ply are visible on the shelf ends, where the double-thickness front lip highlights its architectural character. The inset rear bracket keeps the shelf visually balanced and creates a clean floating appearance.
Install with the lip facing up (as shown) for a contained display edge, or flip it down for a cleaner minimalist look.
Perfect as an Art Deco statement wall shelf, gallery display, forward-facing bookshelf, or sculptural floating shelf for mid-century, modern, or eclectic interiors.

Frequently Asked Questions
Custom and personalised orders
I do accept requests for custom sizes of the existing product lines in my shop. Of course some requests may not be possible, but please ask and where possible I'll make it happen.
Customs Duties & instances of Delays caused by customs.
Please note that import taxes and customs duties are not included in the item price. These charges are the responsibility of the customer. There are also some cases where delays happen due to customs clearance, and this is outside of our control.
Can I return a custom order?
Because custom orders are specific to your specification, I can't resell them. Therefore I will only be able to accept returns of these types of orders if the product is faulty.
Who pays for shipping when I return an item?
Buyers are responsible for return postage costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Is the initial delivery deducted from my refund if I return an item?
Yes, the amount you paid for delivery will be deducted from the refund once the item is returned
Will I have to pay import taxes if I’m in the U.S?
Not usually. Under current U.S. customs rules, imports from the UK under $800 fall within the de minimis threshold, which means no import duties, taxes, or fees are typically charged.
