📌 Description
A joyful, maximalist Art Deco-inspired floating shelf combining contrasting hardwoods with solid burnished brass.
The scalloped tray edge is formed from alternating solid Black Walnut and Maple, creating a rhythmic, high-contrast pattern of deep chocolate and pale creamy timber.
The scalloped edge rises slightly above the shelf surface when installed facing up, creating a contained display area for artwork, books, ceramics and other favourite objects. Alternatively, the shelf can be flipped so the scalloped detail faces down for a more open appearance.
Solid burnished brass wall brackets catch and reflect the light, adding warmth and a premium metallic contrast to the natural timber. Paired with the layered Baltic birch plywood shelf base, the combination of brass, Walnut and Maple turns a functional shelf into a sculptural wall feature.
Ideal as a picture ledge, statement display shelf or architectural wall accent, this piece brings together practical storage and bold, playful design.

🖐 Handmade in England
Each shelf is individually made to order in our UK workshop using carefully selected hardwoods, premium Baltic birch plywood and solid brass, finished using natural oils and traditional woodworking techniques.
As we work with real wood and hand-finished brass, natural variations in grain, colour and finish make every shelf slightly different.
Small-batch, carefully crafted and designed to last — never mass produced.

Frequently Asked Questions
Custom and personalised orders
I do accept requests for custom sizes of the existing product lines in my shop. Of course some requests may not be possible, but please ask and where possible I'll make it happen.
Customs Duties & instances of Delays caused by customs.
Please note that import taxes and customs duties are not included in the item price. These charges are the responsibility of the customer. There are also some cases where delays happen due to customs clearance, and this is outside of our control.
Can I return a custom order?
Because custom orders are specific to your specification, I can't resell them. Therefore I will only be able to accept returns of these types of orders if the product is faulty.
Who pays for shipping when I return an item?
Buyers are responsible for return postage costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Is the initial delivery deducted from my refund if I return an item?
Yes, the amount you paid for delivery will be deducted from the refund once the item is returned
Will I have to pay import taxes if I’m in the U.S?
Not usually. Under current U.S. customs rules, imports from the UK under $800 fall within the de minimis threshold, which means no import duties, taxes, or fees are typically charged.
